1. Program’s purpose and objectives
The primary purpose of the program is to prepare future teachers for all levels of early childhood and primary education. Specifically, it aims to:
- Train primary school teachers to teach children aged 6 to 12 years
- Prepare pre-primary teachers for teaching children aged 3 to 6 years
- Educate nursery school teachers for working with children aged 0 to 3 years
The program’s main objective is to equip candidate teachers with the essential knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required to effectively organize learning environments that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and moral development of children, according to their selected specialization.
More specifically, the program focuses on:
- The pedagogical training of future educators in both primary education (teachers) and preschool education (kindergarten and nursery school teachers), including pre-primary and early childhood education
- The production, advancement, and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the fields of primary and preschool education
- The appropriate preparation of teaching staff for employment in private and public primary schools, kindergartens, and nurseries, based on their chosen area of specialization

Specialization Primary Education
The Primary Education specialization is designed to offer modern, innovative studies in Education Sciences, aligned with today’s professional, educational, and societal needs. The program integrates both theoretical knowledge and applied practice, aiming to develop highly qualified future teachers of Primary Education (ages 6–12).
The main goal is to equip prospective educators with the necessary pedagogical, psychological, sociological, and philosophical foundations so they can respond effectively to the evolving demands of education. The Pedagogical Department of Primary Education is committed to preparing teachers who embrace educational transformation and promote values such as justice, democracy, freedom, and equality in their daily teaching practice.
Specialization Pre-Primary Education
The Pre-Primary Education specialization prepares future kindergarten teachers (ages 3–6) by promoting a high standard of scientific, technological, and professional training. The program focuses on enabling students to design, implement, and evaluate educational activities for preschool children, integrating systematic knowledge, practical experience, and social awareness.
