MBA in Hospitality Management

This MBA specialization is suitable for those who aspire to a career as managers, executives, and professionals in the hospitality Industry. The program is oriented toward business management related to the hospitality business drawing on a range of related areas of study to explain anomalies within the sector. The program includes topics to develop students’ understanding of and abilities to manage relevant processes, procedures, and principles while enhancing students’ critical views of strategic and operational contexts which make up the modern and global hospitality management environment.

Learning Outcomes

During the program, students will develop:

  • a critical awareness of current problems and/or new insights that are related to contemporary issues in Tourism and Hospitality Management from economic, industrial, political and sociocultural perspectives;
  • ability to critically evaluate the development, characteristics, issues, and influences relevant to hospitality management;
  • analytical skills to debate theoretical and applied knowledge in the strategic management, operation, organization and provision of hospitality services;
  • strategic approaches to the management of Hospitality and Tourism businesses and the complexity of factors influencing their effectiveness;
  • appreciation of the range of concepts and practices that have been commonly adopted by a variety of sectors within the industry;
  • critical knowledge and understanding of the hospitality disciplines and their integration within the field of management.
