DIPLOMA in Digital Marketing

1. Program’s purpose and objectives:

The purpose of the Diploma in Digital Marketing is to provide students with the knowledge underpinning the principles of digital marketing and skills to undertake digital marketing planning and to contribute to operational marketing plans, using the latest digital tools and practices. The qualification is ideal for anyone involved in the planning, implementation or measurement of digital strategies and anyone who wishes to develop a career in digital (web) marketing. Typically, students can be:

  • professionals who need to understand digital marketing or get more out of their digital channels
  • marketers who want to fast-track their career or improve their position in the marketplace
  • small business owners who need to maximize online channels for growing their business
  • college student graduates who want to upskill in digital marketing
  • high school student graduates who wish to start a career in Digital Marketing

Taking into consideration the purpose of the program the objectives are to:

  • Provide students with a solid foundation in Digital Marketing
  • Prepare students for careers in the digital marketing industry
  • Enable students to gain skills and knowledge to understand the fundamental planning concepts for an online organization as well as key factors in implementation, measurement, and evaluation of successful campaigns
  • Enable students to respond positively and effectively to the role that the digital marketing professional fulfills in the marketplace
  • Assist students in developing knowledge and develop skills in a systematic way so that they can apply them immediately in the workplace upon completing the qualification
  • Assist students in developing leadership capabilities through the use of real case studies/projects.

2. Intended learning outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Digital Marketing program, students will be able to:

  • Understand the value of Digital Marketing and why it is a vital component of the overall marketing strategy
  • Plan, create and effectively manage Search, Social Media, Mobile, and Email Marketing campaigns
  • Integrate Digital Marketing plans into an overall marketing strategy
  • Understand how Digital Marketing can become a great tool to grow a business, domestically and internationally
  • Identify various online applications and resources that can help build effective and profitable websites
  • Measure and analyze the visitor traffic to your website to continuously develop and improve the business’ Digital Marketing efforts
  • Acknowledge the essentiality of creating a wealth of engaging content within a completely digital marketing strategy.
